Have the opportunity to pull the trigger on one of these 2 optics. Both are 2.5-10x32.
I know NF is regarded as the more desirable optic, but it is double the price. Just seeing if there is an argument to be made for the Vortex over the NF. |

Nightforce is a nicer tougher optic, and you generally get what you pay for in optics. That said I am a huge fan of the Gen II Razor series from vortex, but compared to the PST it isn;t even close.

Neither of mine are (5.5-22, 2.5-10) unless the background is dark and even then it depends on the amount of light at the time. But I don't have a fancy F1.

As far as clarity I can't tell a difference between the pst and nightforce. It's all about ruggedness after that

Comparing a $700 scope and a $1600 scope. Not really apples to apples except for power range. Of course the NF will be tougher over all but it comes down to the end user if he needs a go to "combat" optic or just wants a scope to have fun with and save $900. If the OP has a want for the NF then get it. I am sure it won't let you down. Also something to look at is that the PST is FFP and the NF is SFP. Some like a SFP better for a lower power optic. Just something to think about.
The 2.5-10x32 PST is a great little scope for the money. Got one on my POF .223. Does everything I need the scope to do. Tracks, good knobs, clear glass and a good reticle.
