My bolt doesn't have enough travel to catch the LRBHO on my SR-25 with a rifle length buffer / tube.

Tube is from Brownells, the buffer is from my LGS.

Is it possible the buffer is out of spec / too long? I can't catch my LRBHO by depressing the bolt catch on the side for some reason. Judging from my friend's photos, his SR25 user their carbine A5-length tube with a carbine extension travels further rearward compared to the rifle buffer / tube combo. Not sure what's my issue, or if I need the KM99133 part from KAC?

Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If running a rifle receiver extension for a fixed stick KAC 99133 is the correct buffer for a rifle length tube.

I believe that the SR25, like my LMT MWS uses a longer than standard Buffer, Tube, and Spring.

Someone said "it is the same length as what VLTOR began marketing to AR15 users as "A5" length."

Here is the thread detailing this:

Are you using a AR-15 rifle length buffer? Those are about 5.9" long, you need the 5.2" - 5.3" AR-10/LR-308/SR25 length rifle buffer. Bolt lugs to bolt catch clearance at full pull-back should be around 0.200"+/- 0.040".
