I probably could've got the QSO but I'm finding the tones aren't getting from my computer to the radio when using WSPR or Fldigi.  Works for JS8call though.

I've also found my radio and antenna work well together on 12m.

That's #1 on the Most Wanted list.  If you didn't hear a thing it's phony because if it was real the pileup would be world-shattering.

A while back I saw a P5 on one of the clusters and figured it was bogus but I just HAD to tune it in.

It was some clown from Minnesota that just wanted his own pileup and he got it!

I was tempted to try and work him but figured "why bother?".

Yup, and my first reaction was "No effin' way" when I saw it.  But I've been having trouble hearing ANYBODY the last few days and didn't want to just dismiss it outright.  Thought I should ask just in case it was real and someone else could get a shot at a super rare one.

Conditions have been more screwy than normal for me lately.  Today I couldn't hear stations (CA, OR, NV, ID, etc.) that normally sound like they're in the same room.  But there was a POTA station in OH coming in at S8 and I couldn't hear ANY of the stations he was talking to.

Don't blame you for that!  First rule of DXing: Log them first, worry about where they are second!

And you are right, things have been goofy lately.  I've been able to hit places I usually have difficulty with and can't hit places I usually hit easily.  Even continental stations have been difficult at times.  Very strange conditions.

It was a very tough QSO. I could hear him better than he could hear me. We spent like 3 minutes on my call sign, but he was very kind to persist and not give up on me. Eventually he got it. We chatted a little bit, which was rough but ok. Nice fellow.

Sadly, I don't "hear" him, only a station calling him. I need Guam, too.

I spent a lot of time on 12M today, hoping for Norfolk Island, and missed him (according to DX Summit) when I took a break  away from the radio for an hour.

My short list:

VK9DX
NH2DX or KG6JDX
8Q7RM
ZC4GR (had an uncompleted QSO with him)
V47JA
Z61DX (another uncompleted QSO)

Had an FT8 QSO with India Yesterday or it might have been this morning. I don't remember.

It's been  4 years since I was able to get a QSO with India.

Small scale compared to This One.  Read the page and you'll see that they have a 3-element Yagi for 160 meters.  The boom is constructed from tower sections.  Some of the other towers are rotatable towers (not rotatable antennas).  The photos tell the story.

Between 03/03/21 and 11/12/21 I've made contacts in 137 different countries on FT8 and FT4.  I think M4Madness has that many in the past week.  That software can decode signals that are so weak it's amazing.

Edit .. On re-reading this it may come off as me taking a shot at M4Madness and it wasn't meant that way.  I got him interested in FT8, we swap text messages a lot, and I think what he has done in a very short time is admirable.  That comment was just me teasing him and if it gave the wrong impression I apologize.

That I do not know.  I DO know I wouldn't want to be anywhere near that place when things started falling.  The 80/160 tower alone weighs 80,000 pounds.

I worked them in 2010 and 2011

IIRC a storm brought some of that down
