I like your GD thread more than this thread now. Although I think you are accidentally marrying my girl. Better send her my way before that red hair drives her crazy.

That seed will look good when it comes up.
And nice mower . Still love that view. |

Quoted: That seed will look good when it comes up. And nice mower . Still love that view. View Quote I've been very impressed with the grass seed the green house sells. Better than Scott's in my experience. I didn't put straw on the seed so a hard rain washed it around some but it is coming up well. Thanks! Love it so far. My only complaint is it could be a little heavier for better traction, already weighs 1230 lbs though . It's a pretty good view for Indiana! |

Fall projects on the list:
Removing a bunch of small trees along the property line in the yard. Cleaning up the brush we saved all of the small viable trees, need to thin them out a bit. Trim trees. Going to borrow my parents Stihl pole saw and trim most of the trees in the yard a little more. Start getting ready for mulch in the spring. Need to decide on exactly where we want the mulch to stop, get everything inside that killed off and probably start edging. Spring list: A pin oak and a few sections of split rail fence on each side of the driveway entrance. Mulch around the front of the house and pole barn at minimum 100 or so trees from Arbor Day society planted More flowers Block raised bed around one tree in the middle of the front yard It's never ending |

The grass seed is coming up well. Hope to get some pics tonight. Starting to spray the wild violets with 2,4-D to get rid of them. Those things are hard to kill!
