It's 55 servings, many 1 month emergency food supplies are around 200.

I'm kind of new to this, so..  I may be wrong. It's still going into the stash, variety will be good.

Look at calories, not servings.  They can say 50 servings, but that can be any number of calories.

That is the normal wal-mart price, at least in the store I go to. They usually only have 2 to 4 on the shelf though.

I've been placing big orders on amazon for mountain house and augason farms...I have bad feelings about the economy right now. I think I have about 80 or 90 cans.

Thanks for the deals, gents.

Costco has 15 pouch assortment for $79.99 as I type. That's $5.33 a pouch.

I've been looking at harvest right dryers, and their reviews are terrible. I'm going to try to get my wife into canning. There is not much tech involved. While it wouldn't be good for the 25 year stuff, it would still let me slap a lot of groceries in the pantry without paying a ton.

Not necessarily a "deal", but I stumbled upon a new vendor - WebstaurantStore

Apparently they do $500+ mil in revenue, but I somehow never heard of them. Anyway, I just ordered 400 pounds of long term stuff that I'll mylar and bucket myself. Salt, rolled oats, sugar, green split peas, navy beans, elbow macaroni, and white rice. Total tab with shipping was around $400. I will gladly pay shipping to avoid trips to Costco/Sams/Walmart, etc. Ordering was easy - now its a matter of truckers screwing me up. Has anyone used this company?

Yep, I've used them a couple of times, not for preps though. I bought a popcorn machine for my home theater and some supplies from them. Yes they are a reputable company.

Thanks for the lead. Does anyone know if a 25 lb bag of mortons iodized salt for ~$7.50 is a good deal? Lol minimum quantity is 50 sacks. I guess you could get a lifetime of the stuff for $392...

I'm a little confused about this deal vs the 79.99 Costco deal. If my math is right, both of them are about 7500 calories, but the Walmart deal is about a quarter of the price. Sure, the Costco deal has a bit more protein, but $20 worth of canned chicken or salmon would even those protein numbers right up. What am I missing here?

Do you have a Harvest Right version? I’ve been looking at them, but still not sure how practical or economical they would be for a small family.

Tagging this thread!

And FYI their primary patrons are business owners and QSR chains, hence why most of us haven't heard of them (hence one of their 5 title page adverts is for baby changing stations )

Back in stock. It's actually 10,910 calories, but I think the price difference is due to it having more food in each bag than mountain house does.

I've owned some since 2006 or so, but never used the stuff, lol. 2K mostly favorable reviews though. The most common complaint is damage upon arrival. I added some more.

I do wonder about those that use this kind of stuff in everyday life. "great for grilled cheese"..."mac n cheese", etc. "Where has this been all my life?"
