prices look waaay too good to be true.... Yup but worse case I return it. Amazon is pretty good with protection, so I took a chance. Ditto. Thanks for posting it(I hope). |

Thinking they are knockoffs. But then again streamlightnand others are just rebranding the Chinese lights anyways.looks like ship from china on most of them.

Not even seeing this thread I was about to order from him...... brand new seller out of Canada, amazon itself had it for a record low and he was $30 below amazon, something like $60 below everyone else. Sorry but it's counterfeit. I was still really tempted to try but I realized I'd rather get it at the all time low through amazon and know it's real than go with something i'm 96% sure is a fake and then miss out on the low price through amazon
|
|
I did get three and I'd be interested in doing a comparison to determine if it is indeed counterfeit with an owner of a confirmed real one.
If it is real then yay for deal but even if its a fake that's a sweet price on a Chinese special. It would need to be exceptionally shity to be worth less than $7. They would really need to try hard. |

I'm slightly debating picking up his version of the TLR 4, on that extremely slim chance it's real. I was thinking that maybe canada gets the lights cheaper but looking at Canadian shops and doing the exchange rate they are even pay more for them than in the US (that might seem like a no shit statement but I know an example of a flute multi meter that they sell in china for like $40 bucks that's exactly the same as one that sells here for like $200)
I can't bring myself to do it, for the people that did.... if it turns out to be legit congrats on the beyond killer deal. |

Yes.... not exact models but yes Fake I did go ahead because I wanted to see just how bad, but then I started reading about the return policy, 3rd party doesn't have to have the same as Amazon. Sounds like with the guy being based out of "Canada" he might be ensuring there is no recourse...... long story short I'm trying to cancel the order but again 3rd party doesn't have to |

Yes, third party refunds are not the same as Amazons return policy, HOWEVER, Amazon does have protections in place for third party purchases. If you get counterfeit items, Amazon will refund your money anyway. Just takes a few weeks for them to investigate. With that being said, I ordered two of the TLR-3 and will report back here when they come in. We'll see. |

Placed an order for a few of the penlights @ $4 each, a solar light, three of the rechargables @ $9 and one charger. In for disappointment. It still falls under the Amazon A to Z guarantee, so if its fake, we get the money back.
ETA: Also purchased a TLR3 and some "Streamlight" CR123A batteries. Fake batteries to power my fake TLR3 seemed fitting. |

Mine says 'shipped' with delivery set at between December 7-14th.

I gave them some money.
They had stylus pens (Streamlight) for $3, a TLR-3 for $32.55. Hopefully they dont suck! |

Oh, and in before someone starts calling everyone here FSA for ordering them. |

Are you guys getting tracking numbers for your shipments? What service are they being shipped through?

I think so as well, but I think Amazon holds payments to new merchants for a certain amount of time. View Quote That is true. A company I worked for used to sell on Amazon. When they first started it took awhile to get the first payment (something like a month or two) then after that it was every couple weeks or something like that. Still haven't ordered letting everyone else be the guinea pig |

TLR-4 ordered on 28th still showing Preparing for Shipment. Oh well...
|
|
Well...we paid around 22 bucks.
How the hell do I know if I got the fake ass lanterns? This is bullshit...now I have to worry about gettin fake shit. |

I haven't received any notification from Amazon canceling the order. I'll hold out hope.
