I am thinking about getting a couple of the Mono Vaults in the event I need to bury my guns and ammo. Given who we have for a president the need may arise. I have used my foodsaver to vacum seal a few of my 5.56 bandoliers/ with ammo just to see what it would look like. It vacum seals very well, but I am concerned that the procedure may damage the casings. I am curious if anyone has tried vacum packing any of their ammo. Is it a good idea or not??

I have vaccum packed loose ammo, and it had no ill effects on it, I was concerned the tips of the bullets would possibly puncture the plastic on extreme vaccuming, but they did fine.
I also dug up this article I read a while back about a guy who did bury his stuff for 15 years and it came out fine, weapon and ammo
