State Trooper Cars from All 50 States #StateTrooperCars #TrooperCruisers #50StatesTroopers Interesting stand outs: CT has the only unmarked vehicles. Light bars and bumpers but no logos HI has no state police. Interesting MI with their top hat and shark fin looks weird.. Seen any unusual vehicles belonging to smaller agencies around you? |

Alabama has many unmarked. I've seen them in pickup trucks pulling people over who flew by them in traffic.

The old LX Mustangs with 5 speed manual transmissions have to be on the short list of coolest patrol cars ever. But, the early 2000s Camaros were night and day faster.
I think that the current, high HP, 4 door, cars are a far more practical police car, but those old cars were just fun. Attached File Attached File |

Nobody wanted to drive it, and I think it eventually got totalled. It was replaced with a 4 door Charger. |

Ok, that’s badass. |

Every time I saw that car I lusted after it, it just screamed fun. |

Quoted: Guess I miss read what you said also LOL I thought you meant you are the only state that has unmarked. Not that all yours are unmarked. Man your state cops must tag a ton of people. View Quote The gray color really sticks out. All of their licence plates end in UTZ ,WHK, and a couple of other combinations. Also there is no county LE or government of any form in CT. Most towns don't even have a PD, just a resident trooper if anything. |

NJ also uses the Chevy SS (Caprice PPV) marked and unmarked in addition to the Chevy Tahoe.

Interesting MI with their top hat and shark fin looks weird.. Seen any unusual vehicles belonging to smaller agencies around you? View Quote HI doesn’t want to add an additional car to every LEO in the state so they just use their POVs. Literally just strap a blue light to the roof and you’re in business. They do have standards on what can be a cruiser, and transports are handled by dedicated vehicles but it’s pretty unusual to be driving behind a Honda Pilot that’s an actual patrol vehicle |

That was the first sports car used in a LE role. There’s one in the DPS Museum in Montgomery. |

Love the Javelin. I had one when I was 16. A beast on the straight away, but couldn't take a curve for crap. They didn't last long as a pursuit vehicle for the HP.

Quoted: Which one makes the best breakfasts? View Quote The new Academy has pretty good food...the old one? Not so much. It was at the old Craig Field/AFB in Selma, Alabama (built 1940, deactivated 1977). I always thought the scrambled eggs were pre-peppered, but about 3 weeks into training I noticed one morning my eggs had a progressively increasing amount of pepper. I thought one of my buddies were f'ing with me...I looked around, then looked up. That's when I noticed the mold creeping out of and falling from the air vents in the chow hall. |
