We live fire the standard 48 round course, LE applicants must qualify 80% or better to progress in the process, detention do not.

I am part of the hiring process because I am the department rangemaster, I am an armorer, and I also run the FTO and reserve deputy program. I have worked CID, NARC, ran the fugitive and civil division, and Patrol, both as a patrolman, corporal, and sergeant.
