Standby for updates as I'm getting conflicting reports, one of which being this may have been a mistaken identity/friendly fire incident at an already confusing scene involving an EDP...

UPDATE:
NY| Nassau| Massapequa Park| *Police Officer Line Of Duty Death*| 5 4th Ave c/s Front| It has been confirmed that the policer officer shot at the above location has succumbed to his injuries at NUMC. Reports are that NCPD and MTA PD chased a perp into a house that was originally on LIRR tracks. Once BSO plain clothes officer arrived, he was accidentally shot by MTA PD. Officer's family has been transported by NCPD Helicopter from Suffolk to NUMC. This is the second LODD for the NCPD this year |

We dont have a SWAT team in Nassau, They're called BSO (Bureau of Special Operations). They responded to a Emotionally Distrubed Person with a knife call, and after they detained or killed (I dont know which) the EDP, MTA police (railroad police) came in and accidentally killed the BSO officer thinking he was the EDP.
RIP Officer. NCPD has been hit hard in the last 5 weeks. They went since 93' without one LODD, and then they get hit all at once. |
