A friend of mine, Henri, owns an auto repair shop in Westchester County. He asked about getting either a CCW or a premesis permit. Henri told me that he has a green card, but his freind called it a 'red card' or perhaps I misunderstood his heavy accent because I didn't know that there was a red card. Maybee he meant 'res' card as in resident-alien. If there is no such thing as a red card then he should have no problem. Henri has owned a business in Westchester for a few years, and has a clean record. His shop is in a very industrial area with very few people walking by. I wouldn't open the shop doors over there without a weapon handy. Either way, I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Henri lives in Yonkers, NY, (Westchester County)[/left][left]I spoke to Henri yesterday, and he does have a green card, it was his worker that said it was a red card, but he was just trying to explain how the system works, so it was my mistake.[/left] IIRC my old shop partner got his CCW before he became a US citizen in '98. At the time he had a green card, but he had a very good connection with the local police captain, who walked him through the process because he was retiring from the force at the same time and he had to revise his permit anyway.
