"i love how conservatives/libertarians use the 30 million number when trying to make the number seem huge in the issue of shortage of doctors, then shrink it down to 8% when making the point "if it aint broke, dont fix it"...fer just 8%.
30 million added to 270 million = 1 to 9. in a line of 9 people at a doctors office, it would add one more person to that 9 person line....WOWZA. hardly a sound argument to ignore the 30 million americans with no insurance."

The major problem with that is the bulk of doctors are specialists now- not primary care. There is already an acute shortage of primary care physicians. I know several PCPs who will point blank change their practice to being private only so as to not have to deal with the riff-raff and buearacracy of Obamacare. SO if even 10% of PCPs go that route the rationing will have to begin (or we go Canadian with nurses and PAs providing primary care but there are shortages there also).

So that logic is fallacious in the extreme,

Tell the hippy to quit drinking the bong water and get a job...once he starts earning money let's see if he still wants to share the wealth

The "logic" fails on so many levels.

My PCP is pretty much there already. She will only accept certain insurance companies everyone else is expected to pay cash. I have no issues with this because she is very good.

No matter how much you argue with these people using concrete facts and evidence, they will just keep going and going....until I can't take it anymore.  Stupid me, I spent a long time on 2 occasions now explaining to 2 separate liberals why this country cannot afford socialized health care.  I went over economic history, numbers, you name it; not to mention the fact that I am a physician myself.  I might as well have been talking to people with schizophrenia.  They just go on and on, and when they run out of things to say, they call you selfish or "racist" for not supporting it.  I quit.

The idiots that spout anti gun rhetoric are often the same idiots that spout Obamacare bullshit.
Logic, reality, and even the laws of physics are irrelevant to them.  They want what they want
and they want it now and to hell with anyone or thing that crosses them in their quest to
destroy the economy.

I agree with you about not arguing it anymore.  I got called a racist by my family, and promptly walked away from that one.

This is not going to end.  There is no peaceful solution, they will make sure of that.
