There is one less marine today. My grandfather passed away Friday morning. Veteran of the Korean war where he carried a BAR. Couldnt get him on a plane or boat; said he had enough of that in the Corp.

I am sorry for your loss....I lost my Grandfather Dec. 16th..he was in the 1st Cav. in WWII.  It really hurst to have a grandparent pass away.

My condolences.  The baton is being passed to a new generation.  Go forward in life to make your gandfather proud of you, as I'm sure was when he was alive.

My most sincerest condolences on the passing of your grandfather. My grandfather is still, happily, alive. He served with the Army in WW II, and stormed Anzio. It will be a sad day for me to see him go. My heart goes out to you and your family.

My sincere condolences. God Bless your grandfather and your family. One of my grandfathers carried carried a Garand across Europe, and the other was a gunner on a PT boat in the Pacific. I only hope there are enough of us honorable men left to live up to their legacy. They are all heros. Semper Fi!

Sorry to hear of your loss but I'm sure St. Pete appreciates the fact that the Pearly Gates are a little more secure tonight.

I am sure the Marines Guarding Heavens gates are looking down and feeling our call to arms all the way up there.  God knows I am.

You know you read revelations and you realize that our enemies call us the great satan and give us great role in that book of the Bible as they say we are the ones the lord is comming for. But we have not done those things that they have done.  They are so arrogant they havn't stopped to realize that We the USA are merely one of the Lords Trumpets that his Angels will play on the day of reconing.

Thanks to all. It was a lovely service. It was hard to hold back when they played Taps and folded the flag. It is trandition in my family for family to carry the casket. He shall live on in me, and I shall honor is memory and achivements.
