What do you envision for yourself and our country?

Me?

I envision paying about 20% more in various tax schemes.
I expect inflation will be the only way TRILLIONS can be written off.
I expect the bright folks who had a plan and were on target to retire at 50 will work until thier death.

I expect to tell my Grandkids, about when America was great.

I hope your right about people getting wiser...but I have my doubts.

Obama will not be going anywhere till 2016. I dont see it happening. After he has gone, things will be the same shitty mess we are in right now, only worse. History has a way of repeating itself but no one is listening. The Republic cannot be restored because of the culture war that began in the 1980's, when the power of the people, if you wish to call it that, became urbanized and the family unit was destroyed.

There is so much wrong, it cant be fixed. I am afraid for my grandkids and im afraid for my way of life. Im 66 years old, so in a way, it doesnt matter that much for me. Im toast, pretty much. My grandkids will never know what its like to go out into the desert that i live in, away from people, and just be alone for awhile. If it be federal, state, or local government, someone will be in their face with a stupid law watching them with binoculars to make sure that they do nothing that is not socially acceptable.

We have met the enemy and its US!!!!!

As for the fallout of Obama's Socialist Revolution, look at South Africa after Nelson Mandela. THAT is what I envision (and have predicted since he won the Democratic nomination) for America.

We just celebrated our 22 wedding anniversary without kids. I didn't see much future for kids way back then. One thing is for sure the money that wasn't spent on kids was sure fun.

* Bond market dislocation and subsequent reigning in of government spending and the end of various government "entitlement" programs.
* A generation long depression (The Greater Depression as it will be known).
* Terrorist attacks, to include nuclear and biological before the end of Obama's time in office

Frankly, if the Messiah makes it to the end of this four-year term, he probably ought to count his lucky stars, and I'm not referring to him dying in office, either. He's dirty as the day is long.

The country never rolled back the damage that Roosevelt did to the Constitution. We'll be so fooked after this guy, I don't think we'll ever catch back up with the third world countries. The world will move on, and we'll be looking up from the dust. We were able to innovate because we were free, and we had little baggage to drag around. We aint as free, we'll be less so, and we'll be awash in baggage and debt. People in other countries have the benefit of using tech we invented without having had to spend the time and treasure we did to invent it. People in other countries aren't stupid, they have better test scores than our kids have, and they're willing to work harder than our welfare cases are.
