Actually, in my corner of the world, B&N is one of the few stores to carry Shotgun News and most of the gun rags. Anything to the contrary about their beliefs?

Some better known than others. I sincerely believe that at least some part of K-Mart's downfall can be attributed to a well deserved, though largely unpublicized, boycott. Who are some of the "lesser knowns" who also should be avoided? show me where you got this information please. ill make sure that the local B & N here gets the info as well.. lots of my shooting buddies go there. ill give them the heads up. |

Toast - B&N contributed the max to one of the biggest freedon hating commies in congress - Cynthia McKinney, D-GA. B&N's politics are extremist to the left in every way. That doesn't mean they won't stoop to pick up a buck!

Redray - see my above post. Research B&N. About 18 months ago B&N ran full page ads in newspapers throughout the country advertising books that are supposedly anti-hate. Every single book was written by radical lefist such as Georgia dem John Lewis or radical women's rights advocates, Greenpeace kooks, etc.
Maybe somebody can come up with the ad. It is self-explanatory! |

I find Barnes & Noble to be much more conservative than Borders. Not only in their philosophy, but also in who they hire in their stores and the kinds of books and magazines they carry. The consistently find more shooting, hunting, and military history related books and magazines at B & N than I do at Borders. The magazine rack at Borders is always full of those leftist fringe and counter culture "publications", for lack of a better word...

Remember Sara Lee's $50,000 donation to Sarah Brady and the Brady Bunch? They named Sarah their "woman of the year" a while back. Sara Lee's other brands include Coach leather (purses and such), Hanes underwear and Jimmy Dean sausage.

I think a list of companies that we are NOT to boycott would be more help...It sounds like the list to stay away from is very large.

DScott, we (second rights ammendment supporters) are not in the minority. That is merely what the anti-constitution media wants the American's to believe.
We got to where we are because we have no voice (other than the NRA which the media has convinced most Americans is the moral equavalent of the KKK) drumming home our message day in and day out. We don't control Hollywood, the major newspapers, magazines, television, the news etc. We do, however, control an awful lot of the money. That is our voice. That's why I think it's important for us to identify our enemies supporters and boycott their asses! The best list of anti-gun supporters I've seen is located at the Pink Pistol web site. It is exhaustive. Yeah they are a bunch of gay gun owners but at least they are in this fight with us. I'd post a link but I'm not a computer person. It is impossible to boycott all of them (but most), but if each freedom loving American was aware of where some of these companies stand we would eventually see a change. These companies care a whole lot more about the bottom line than they do any social cause. And we can effect that! |

And my point FL is that if millions of the "right people" knew of Levi's stance we could and would make a change in that company's bottom line in a very short period of time.
There are companies that support our second ammendment rights. I'll let you know when I think of one! Come to think of it I can't think of a single large corporation that has publicly announced support of the second ammendment. We have a lot of work to do! |

I too used to like Levis... Sears always had good prices. I heard they were supporting the Anti agenda (I think through PAX tv... I actually had a few exchanges with an exec there... he mentioned gun ownership as a 'privelege'... I corrected him on that!), I stopped. I started getting Old Navy jeans... they're about $5 less a pair and seem to last pretty well. Please tell me Old Navy doesn't support the Antis!!
