I remember a few years ago there was a short-run TV series about a virtual reality world created by the US Mil. It was a training program that was hijacked by a former soldier who now runs the VR world which had turned into an apocalyptic world filled with soldiers who were sent in for training and can't get out.

I remember there being a lot of complaining how violent it was. Does anyone remember this show?

No, it was a live action show.

I remember one episode where they ended up in a glitch and ended up in an old beta version Battle of the Bulge and couldn't get out.

Frisky Dingo was probably my favorite Adult Swim cartoon, and I was pissed when I read that 70/30 Productions closed down.
