I don't watch FOX's animation shows anymore, but I clicked on it on HULU where Peter bought a retarded horse, and Stewie ate his cereal... repeatedly...
|
|
I'm not really sure there is (or can be) a "4chan of TV".
If there is one, Family Guy sure as hell ain't it. |

Yeah that was a bad show, and it was too over the top for me. I used to really enjoy watching the family guy, but now the show is trying to be more shocking than funny. Plus the show's creator is too much of a liberal hack for my tastes. I am done watching the Family Guy. |

Family Guy is probably my favorite TV show, however it has gone downhill since season 3.

Tha's one of my favorite shows.
Peter "Huh, you know somthing? I always thought that dogs laid eggs. So, yeah. I learned something today." |
|
They are nothing alike, largely due to the fact that 4chan is actually entertaining most of the time.
|
|
Family Guy is petty juvenile BS with lots of liberal propaganda thrown in for good measure.
King of the Hill is the truth. |

There cannot be a 4chan of TV, since it would be XXX-rated at best

If Family Guy made jokes about Liberals, yall would be all about it.
It's funny, but not as funny as it used to be. They are running out of material. - BG |
|
I don't know if you could legally broadcast something like 4chan on network television.
|
|
This is the cartoon that's always ridiculing conservatism and conservatives, right?

It was funny for the 1st few seasons, which made alot of fun of conservatives. Who cares.
I care. At least South Park occasionally skewers liberals, but Family Guy seems to reserve all their contempt for conservatives, so fuck em. |
|
agreed on the writers being out of good ideas, i used to split a rib and now i just chuckle
i don't know how some of you make it through everyday life if you get all bent out of shape about some conservative bashing jokes on a comedy animated TV show |

Excuse me, do you know how to get to town?
Yeah, (Click clack) it's back the way you came. |

What, nobody think Stewie eating that bowl of cereal is disgusting enough?
|
|
Adult Swim is the 4chan of TV.
They show Family Guy on Adult Swim, but it is probably the sanest thing that they play. They rest of it are 15 minute shows that are REALLY weird. |

Robot Chicken would be closer. It's hilarious, same as Family Guy. |

I am not even sure if 4chan is the 4chan of the internet. How can I verify this? Delete sytem 32? A puppy can't lie.

Yeah, FG used to be much more funny. The shark, it has jumped it.

Family Guy has managed to achieve in a fraction of the time what it took The Simpsons, blazing the trail, to do.
Obtain mediocrity and yet, somehow, remain uncanceled. For The Simpsons it took about 10 seasons. Family Guy - 3-4 seasons. The Simpsons - Never canceled, never will be. Those who are involved will simply, at some point, decide "Okay, we're done doing this. Wrap it up." Expect that to take another several years. Family Guy - Was canceled, but came back. FWIW, it was great before it was canceled, and once it came back just steadily declined. Family Guy isn't going anywhere anytime soon, either. American Dad is about the only show I find moderately enjoyable anymore (as far as Fox's animated shows go). Even then, I watch it on Hulu and spend my time at 9:30pm on Sunday doing more productive things. _MaH |

I think it's a pretty funny show; the earlier ones were better than the new ones. Yes, they pick on conservatives, but it's fun. They pick on Clinton (he's almost always naked when shown in an official capacity, LOL), Hillary, etc. too... I don't mind it, gotta be able to laugh. I got a real kick out of the Blue Harvest (Star Wars Parody) episodes; they got Rush Limbaugh to "phone in" a guest appearance as himself in one of the episodes... and they were parodying him, and he volunteered for it, and got a kick out of it.
Stewie is my favorite, Stewie for President; a ray gun in every safe, and no more Lois! ETA: I am a conservative, BTW ––- some might consider me a nutjob conservative, but we all need a bit thicker skin than some have nowadays. I will say wastes of Flesh like Michael Moore drive my blood pressure up; he doesn't do comedy, he's just an asshole. |

Another opportunity to point out a propaganda technique. There is a difference between lampooning a liberal politician and lampooning liberalism. With one, they simply target the politician (but not ideas they represent). With the other, they target the very ideas and philosophy that the politician represents. So one joke about a liberal politician is not equal to one joke about conservatism. The show is a shill for left wing politics and a deliberate vulgarization of our culture, and what institution benefits from social decay, the government, and what group benefits from a stronger government, liberals. |

No.
Unlike the Family Guy, 4chan is occasionally clever and funny. |
