My family was quite poor until I was 10 or so. Dad busted ass, got a break and we went from $15K per year to over $100K per year almost overnight.
I still remember the bread, milk and cheese line in the neighborhood. Gubbmint cheese is an acquired taste, much like the Five Fingers Of Death MRE. |
