Obviously it won't, but we just shouldn't do it. Because when others see a hot link to polls, they think hot linking is fine everywhere else...to the DU and whatnot. I'm just in the do not hot link camp. |

If McCain has now tied Obama in the CBS poll, he will likely have a ten point lead in the unbiased ones!
BTW, I think Obama's low bounce (or no bounce according to many polls) following their convention is also telling. His support level has hit a ceiling and it just isn't going to get any higher no matter what he says or does. Meanwhile, McCain's support keeps building because he's getting most of the undecided voters. I would expect McCain to get a sizable bounce following the convention. Imagine, this CBS poll was conducted prior to either Palin or McCain's speeches! |

As I said in the other CBS poll thread, I don't think we'll know where the race stands until we have a week unaffected by holidays, hurricanes, and conventions. I look for Thursday of next week for a no-shit status of the race. I'd look to Rassmussen, Pew, Quinnipiac, and I'd keep an eye on Zogby to see how he's doing of late.
