Will it availble at around $20-25K? Or will they take Driges line of thinking and charge $60K.

From the Dead Milkmen album Big Lizard In My Backyard

Looks cool. I'm not real crazy about the ass end, but I still like it over all.
I don't care what the rest of you say, I'm LOVING that a guy can buy a Mustang, Challenger and (soon) Camaro. |
What's not to like about that? They didn't build 'em like that in the sixties. 416 HP is serious.
Too bad the gasoline engine is going the way of the horse and buggy. Poor GM is still a day late and a few billion dollars short. J. |
The interior is ugly. I'm a big fan of the "Camaro", but the interior looks dated, boring, and uninspiring. Typical GM. They need to hire some new designers.
The independent rear suspension is nice.
I like the interior, better than the Challenger anyway. |
Not too shabby at all. |
Exactly what I thought when I saw this... |
It's a muscle car. It's supposed to have a simple interior. Put the money in the motor. I like it. |
Right?!?... one word describes this abomination... Ugly... could they have made it look any more like a mustang and gto had a hybrid bastard child? Now if these dumbfucks really wanted to make money... they would pull out the old forms from mothballs for the gen one body styles, change the headlights to rectangular and add all of the modern technology... independent suspension, 6 speed gearboxes.. etc, etc... all in what looks like a first gen Camaro... THAT SHIT WOULD SELL! |
Doesn't look as good as the concept... but then again, they never do.
Hopefully the rear holds up when people throw 10" slicks on the back and drag it. Mustang enthusiasts begged Ford for a live axle on the Mustang, and for once they listened. |
Im probably in the minority here but i think this looks better than the concept. |
That's true, we'll see...a live axle certainly hasn't hurt GT500 sales to say the least. |

Looks pretty cool. Too bad I'm not on welfare and can't afford to feed it.
I really don't like the retro design, they should have gone more modern.
I don't mind simple, but putting dash gauges down where the ashtray used to be is a bit silly. |
Yeah, down with the affordable fun cars.....Ferraris, Lambos, and Porsche's that's it. |
And the GT500 handles just fine, a point that's often lost on many. Not all of us jerk off to the thought of running laps around the 'ring, or doing 3x the speed limit on public mountain roads with blind corners, or waiting with bated breath for a track day to open up 3 hours from here, or... |
1 Challenger please.
ETA:
Yep, some of us are quite content going fast in a straight line. |
I'll wait for the firebird version :D
for all the haters: What else are you going to buy? |
Yep...................but I don't know who will own GM then. 5sub |
Bitchin. I have had several. I could see me in one for sure......and then in big ass trouble.
Not entirely sure how accurate that really is. The LT designation just doesn't fit. Leading members of the Camaro development and marketing team (Scott Settlemire in particular) have said publically that "Camaro and Z-28 are not dead" in response to some rumors it had been killed. Z-28 is just too recognizable a monicker to kill...
The weight is probably a bit low as well. Again people on the development team have mentioned a lot closer to 4k lbs when all the required safety equipment is included. The engine specifications are proabably pretty close though... |
Hand stitched leather, aaaaaaw yeah baby. Tell me more about the steering feed back. Ya, that's it. What's that? The panel gap is tight? Almost there baby! Oh yeah! Oh yeah! The slalom speed is...oh my gawd... AWESOME!!! OH, YEAH!!! AAAAAAH! OH SHIT! OH FUCK ME. SLAP THAT ASS!! HARDER! SAY BREMBO! SAY BREMBO! AAAAAAHHHHH! YES! YES! YES! Shit, now the pages of Car & Driver are stuck together. |
Look how many '99,'01 and '03/04 Cobras got swapped over to a 8.8. |
LOVE IT!!
Plan on spending $31K+ for the LS2 model. Curb weight will be around 3600lbs so she will be a fatty... |
I keep applying but nothing yet I think they screwed up by not just keeping the line running on the old Camaro. Camaro/Firebird guys are usually hardcore GM guys, they pushed them into imports by dropping it. They should have looked at how to make it cheaper, most of the guys that want one aren't rich or they're ripping the interior out to race it anyway. |
I still have about 4 Dead Milkmen Albums. I thought I was their only fan. |
It will be the same rear diff as the corvette and the xlrv/ctsv so it should hold decently. I've seen/worked on some pretty quick vette's with the stock diff and they have held up. But as any rear diff, it can always break. |
I don't like it. I've always been a fan of the way the Mustang looks and runs even though I hate ford cars in general.
I guess that could explain the placement, but it still not a good location to put them. I ran out of gas in my Camero twice and that gauge was on the dash. |
