Not the greatest QB of all time. Just watch that last interception. He's seems to be a great guy but I've seen him do dumb shit like that for years. He might have all the records(due to years played) but he's gotta be near the top in interceptions also. I'll take Tom Brady, Troy Aikman or Joe Montana any day over Favre. Congrats to the Giants, enjoy it because they are about to become NE's bitch.

Yep, Brett has go to be at the top of the Int list.

Going into this year bret was #2 on the pick list..

277   George Blanda, Chi. Bears, 1949, 1950-58; Baltimore, 1950; Houston, 1960-66; Oakland, 1967-1975

273 Brett Favre, Atlanta, 1991; Green Bay, 1992-2006

he threw more than 4 this year, so yep. hes #1 in interceptions.

it's his personality.  he's not extremely disciplined.  he has *excellent* instinct,  some of the best of a quarterback but he's not really technical.

Like most "Seat of their pants" players,  he tends to force balls a lot cause it works for him usually.

generally when it doesn't, it's a spectacularly bad failure.

I'm sad, I reallly wanted to see Favre in the SB.

A couple of years ago, he took a cut to keep GB under the salary cap, and still get some of the players they wanted.

Shame GB didn't want it bad enough, today.  The kids have a few months to think about it, and then we'll see what happens next season with a non-rookie squad.

I just hope that the old man decides to come back...

No one is saying he isn't a good QB, he is. But he's not near being the greatest that many claim him to be. I've seen him do what he did at the end of tonight's game countless times before. I figured after 20 years or whatever of playing professional football he'd have learned what he can and can't get away with.

Not a chance in hell.  If they'd have gone to the Super Bowl, MAYBE, but with as young as the rest of the team is he'll be sticking around for at least 2 more seasons.

I think he'll come back.  He's got a great team to come back to and now they actually have some experience.

As far as the best QB ever.  I would give it to Favre but only just.  He does make more boneheaded plays than he should but he has more than made up for it in pretty much every other area.

He is also getting old to be playing in -4 degree weather..

He should come back. Most NFL scouts say his arm strength is still as good as any other QB in the league and he does have some good talent around. Still that is all a waste if he doesn't learn to play within the boundaries given to him. Brady and Montana were and are the absolute masters of this. Defense won't give up the big play? They are perfectly content to dink and dunk you to death.

As a Bears fan I would ussually reval in a GB loss, however I was actually hoping they would win. They really sucked in the second half and didn't play to win. Favre is a class act, he still has a strong arm and can make plays, but can't do it by himself. he needs a running game and play action to be successful.

Idk what cave you're living in but apparently you didn't notice that they made it to the semi-finals this year with a team made up mostly of very young and inexperienced players.

Part in red: No, idk what point you are trying to make.  It certainly has nothing to do with what i said.

Other part:  Blaming the entire game on one player sure does show just how much you know, or, just how much control your bias has over your thought process.

They would have never been this good in the first place without Favre.
