Yeah, I get a little peeved when they base shipping costs on the value of the order and not say hmmmm WEIGHT and/or distance (zones).  Granted, insurance costs do rise when the value of the shipment increases, but those are negligible when you talk about the volume of shipping SG does through UPS.  I wouldn't even mind if they charged a couple extra bucks on top of reasonable shipping to cover added insurance.

SG keeps relatively low prices but they make it back on the handling end of the S&H charge.  Ever notice how orders of more than $300 or so have a flat rate, no matter how much?????

When SG stopped the percentage coupons, I stopped ordering from them.

Two weeks ago I bought one of those large antler chandeliers which came in a huge box.  There was other stuff on the order too, but they only charged $16.99 to ship everything.  I think it came in two separate boxes.  I didn't think that was too bad.  UPS has drastically raised their rates.  Probably due to fuel prices.  It just sucks these days.  I still like SG though.  Gary cracks me up.  [;D]
