Steel lowers?
Are they out there? How much are they? and are they any good?

And dose anybody make a steel buffer tube?

dpms makes them , they are very heavy but also well made. check their web site, i think it is listed in the links section...pat

DPMS has stainless steel lowers. I know a good AR15 'smith and he swears by them for building tack drivers. They are a little pricey. I  had a new one that I never built up. I traded it to this 'smith for a complete new 20" A3 upper with a float tube and a removeable carry handle.
