The M-200 CIV has been discontinued. The M-200 Military version is now available to the commercial market and is no longer restricted.

I spent to long trying to buy a collapsible stock M468 when Barret didn't want them going to non LEO's. EDM FTW!

I never was very interested in owning a .50 but I imagine I'll buy one some day just to support his company. Will sell to civilians but not to California LEO. God thats awesome.

Did Ronnie Barrett actually design his line of rifles, or did he just fund the development and put his name on them?

It's not a slam on him either way. I think he's awesome. I'm just curious if he actually got his hands dirty developing the rifles.

I like Barret, but if I do ever buy a .50BMG,* I'd buy an EDM Arms Windrunner.

Which is doubtful now that I'm almost certainly staying on the East Coast.
Just not enough room for me to justify a gun with that sort of reach if I'll never get a chance to use it.

Barrett FTW, period.

The greatest thing that man ever did (and there are many great things he's done) was the release of his .408 Barrett after the CA .50 ban. The ad read on the top in huge bold lettering "Attention Citizens of California:..." and was full of how Barrett was sick and tired of their mierda de torro legislation, and how he would circumvent the laws and continue to arm CA's citizens with long-range rifles of equal power, while at the same time refusing to sell to or service ANY CA gov't agencies. It was a full page ad too, I just forget what magazine.

In a nutshell, they said that their rifle had some super secret squirrel technology that made it so accurate that they would only sell it to the military.

Then, when they sent them to the military they got sent back because the military said some of them weren't made right and they sucked.

Then Chey-tac allegedly took the sucky ones and claimed it was a "de-accuratized" civie version to sell to us mere mortals.

Don't forget the email from Chey-tac indirectly bad mouthing Barrett. IIRC, the email had the grammer of a 3rd grader.
