Dear Editor:

RE: Court says that individuals have a right to own guns

Duh!... What a no-brainer. The Second Amendment is number two on a list of our Constitutional rights, why is an individual interpretation of it so difficult for some folks.

Imagine if an amendment guaranteeing the right to free speech was worded in a similarly archaic type of sentence like this:
A well-run newspaper, being necessary for the proper dissemination of information in a free state, the right of the people to keep and express personal ideas shall not be infringed.

Do you really think there would be any doubt of the individuals' right of expression then? Would you say there needs to be a state-owned press, that speech is a collective right?
