US flight diverted after cabin alert

A Delta Airlines flight from Atlanta to Los Angeles has been diverted after the pilot reported a disturbance in the cabin, US federal authorities said.
Delta Flight 357 landed in Shreveport, Louisiana at 1500 local time (2000 GMT), said Federal Aviation Administration spokesman William Schumann.

It was escorted by US fighter jets.

On Monday an American Airlines plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Chicago after a deranged man burst into the cockpit.

Can we just start having mandatory beatings for people who step out of line on airplanes?

God Bless Texas

Hopefully the "cabin disturbance" wasn't anything more serious than two Arab seatmates conversing in their native tongue.
