Because she said that we need to deport all Muslim and Arab aliens (i.e., any that aren't citizens) from our country, unless they get specific permission from their Senator.
I personally feel that was the wrong solution, and akin to taking away legal guns because of a few criminals. However, being that she was hired to write OPINIONS, I don't feel that she should have been fired for writing one, even if I disagree with it. If that were the criteria, then the Editorial staff of most Bay Area newspapers should be fired. -Troy |

I read that specific article and actually like it. It was supposed to just a bit cheek-in-tongue I think but in general the article was great. Her whole point was that if Middle-Easterners are doing terrorist acts then by gosh shouldn't we be looking [b]for[/b] Middle-Easterners?
She was trying to remind all of us to aviod the liberal rhetoric and be sure to stand firm and do what needs to be done - even if it "offends" a few people. I mean, what do want to choose between, having a few thousand more killed ot offending a small few. Ann Coltier rocks in my book. I love her articles. Be safe. CMOS |

I am not sure about deporting everyone - but we do need to CLOSE our borders and do it now. I also think we need to kick out anyone who is here illegaly - and keep them out. I like the old "trespassers will be shot - survivors will be shot again" sign ;o}

I read the article and it was very good. A logical argument that we should secure this country from those who would do us harm.
She gets fired for talking about something nobody in government has the courage to face. What a shame. |
