Been looking for something to use for off duty carry and possibly backup, Any thoughts on the Taurus Millennium Pro PT111......Picked up for $250 shipped

I have an older PT-111. Mine only holds 10+1 rounds. Over 1000 rounds through mine. No failures so far. Pretty accurate for a subcompact. Have carried it on the ankle too. The trigger pull takes a little getting used to.

I have heard mixed reviews of those guns. Even though it is more expensive you might consider the S&W model 642. It will work all the time and give you the option of pocket carry.

I carry a PT145 and I like them.
The earlier models had problems though

I have the full size .45..shoots great, no hiccups after 1,000+ rounds. Very smooth for a "cheaper" handgun. I almsot sold it a few times but it's a great CCW that I'm not afraid to band/scratch up.

Yeah, THAT'S an understatement...

My friend had one of these guns. The trigger was like the proverbial "three miles of bad gravel road".

Accuracy was acceptable, but not great.

I dont have huge hands but i hope it fits, I have a crappy feeling gun...Couldn't pass up the price with 100 rounds thru it...Hell a saturday nite special would cost $250 shipped......I will give you guy's the scoop when it get's here. Sould have it wednesday.

Good looks to be a little bigger in the handle than the Glock...I like the 26 but just a little too short in the grip...Oh and about $200-$300 cheaper depending where you buy them.

I have that same gun. About 500 rounds through it and no problems. Fits my large hands pretty well, especially with the larger cap magazine. I also don't mind 'kicking' it around a little bit, as it was not costly to buy. I am more accurate with it than my other 9mm, a P89 Ruger, and I am comfortable shooting it. Fits almost perfectly in my back jean pocket, when I am out doing chores on my property, and conceals well in my Uncle Mikes holster, small of the back.

I have the older version in SS and about the only thing I don't like about it is the take up on the trigger. I picked up it's bigger bro the 24/7 the other day and I really like it, much nicer trigger and shoots great.

i shot my friends pt140 i think it was. in .40 yeah up DAO trigger would take me a while to get used to

Definitely takes some getting used to, but once you are accustomed to the loooong pull, it can actually be a pretty accurate little gun. When I've shot one, I really liked it.

I would definitely get one, if faced with a good price!

Looks nice, but I think the mini Glocks are the best "little big gun" out there. I have the G27 and G22, and I like having two guns that have the same trigger, etc. The G27 can also take the G22 mags. The G27 grip happens to be perfect for me and I have really big hands. The little hump on the backstrap locks into the heel of my palm like it was custom made.

I carry a 9mm PT-111 loaded with WWB 147gr JHP. Every time I've pulled the trigger it has functioned flawlessly and is plenty accurate for personal defense. I'm happy with it.
