Most AK's that I have seen/fired [i]usually[/i] eject forward and right..but not always so sometimes you will get hit with brass.
With an SKS the cases eject straight up!! Mine ejects rather forcefully and sometimes it does go inside my shirt. Overall I would suggest the SKS would be best for a left hander. |

I am a southpaw and shot both SKS and AK47 rifles. Never got hit in the face of the spent cases. You will be fine.

I'm a lefty.I don't think you will have a problem,unless theres something wrong with the rifle.

I also shoot from the south side...semi & full auto AK's, never been hit. [heavy]

I'm lefty, I've shot an SKS once and it didn't hit me. I've shot several AK's and my own Bulgie AK has never hit me with a casing. It did shoot one down my wife's shirt once but that's another story. (PG-13)

I shoot lefty, No problem at all with either.
Watch out for the old pre brass deflector AR15's though. Dem shells is hot, hot hot! |
