Swipe that card now my friend! I think Springfield has a special deal now that if you buy a M1A you get a $400+ springfield scope for $99. Buy the gun and get the scope for the extra $99 and then put the scope on EBAY and get $400. So then you would only have $1100 in the gun.

I have the partially NM M1A (only gunpowder-powered projectile hurling device) with the NM barrel and sights, synthetic stock. You will love it! only advice that I have is to shop around (you will find used ones out there), buy surplus NATO Hiry ammo, and use the coupon to get the scope mount.

Garand, the point is not to keep the scope, but to sell it on EBAY. People everyday buy crap on EBAY.

That $99 does include the third generation mount also. I find it hard to believe that the scope and mount wouldn't be worth $99.

Is it the one with the great looking walnut stock or the synthetic stock?
I was going to buy one last year and between the 2 gun shows (1 month apart) the price jumped up 100 bones! I am still going to get it soon...very soon! It just kind of ticked me off that they jumped the price up! One of these days I will be saying "Come to papa!"[:D] Lynn [sniper] |

Just for a little information. Davidsons which is a large wholesaler had about 35 of the M1-a before 9-11. I checked today and no m1-a and no bushmasters in stock all gone by-bye. Work your dealer down about 100.00 and you should be in the ball park. The scope is not bad but the mount sucks!!
