It detects my wireless connection. The correct passwords are loaded. Still will not connect. I keep getting the poor connectivity shit no matter where I am in the house. I hate Linksys.
 PS. No firewall loaded. Just have the WPA-AES set up. Worked on Friday. |

Windows Wireless Zero needs to be active. You also need to establish a "New Internet Connection". It can be frustrating if you have not done it much.

linksys works great for me
have you turned everything off and back on yet have your tried a different wireless channel have you turned your microwave off yet have your checked for firmware updates for your router? new drivers for all your wireless nics? |

Personally myself, I would turn that WEP bullshit off. It is over rated and unnessciarry. Just use the MAC ACL and set your NICs MAC address on the allow list.
Nobody will be able to connect to your system and if they do figure out a way to "hack" your wireless, what are they gonna get? Plans for the invasion of some third world country? Probably not. Information on your checking account that is already over drawn? Possibly. Access to some porno sites? Most likely. You lose nothing, you gain a bit of sanity. Just my 2 cents |

My 2.4ghz cordless phone used to always kill my wireless connection. Just a thought.

Find the "reset/factory settings" button on your wireless router and press it, then unplug it, then plug it back in. Uninstall your network card, reboot, and let it auto-detect. The default settings will work fine. Then once it's all hooked up, put a password on your router and type it in when your computer asks for it the next time you connect.

What SSID are you connecting to? If it's just plain "Linksys" change it. Someone else may have a linksys router in the area and you could be connected to them.
Also, are you sure it's the router and not the internet connection? Try logging into your Linksys router by going to 192.168.1.1 . Do you get a login prompt? Anyway if all else fails, just open up the command prompt and do the following: ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew That should do it. |

sounds like interference, or someone has installed a new wireless access point that is causing confustion with yours. try changing the chanel, ip scheme, and name.
