Always feed semi-autos from the magazine. Its hard on the extractor otherwise!

I load up dummy rounds, enlarge the flashhole a bit, squirt some 2-part epoxy in to permanently hold the bullet and then fill the remainer of the case with thick silicon caulk, finally trimming the excess caulk even with the base when it has set up.

aluminum is softer than steel it should not hurt the chamber.

I use them for testing the action but for dry firing I prefer the plastic oned with spring loaded brass primer like Pachmayr makes. The A-Zoom ones weren't really designed for heavy use while dry-firing. |

They are advertised to "last the longest" "thousands and thousands of times" Sounds like they are ment to be used. |

Aluminum is softer than steel so you're fine. I used them in my USP Tactical and Springfield TRP Operator just fine.

I had one in .32 acp. It sucked balls. But it might be becuase of the .32's poor rim. The aluminum after cycling a few times just sheared the thin aluminum rim straight off.
you could still dry fire the thing, but good luck trying to get it out of the chamber. I prefer the plastic ones with the brass spring. They might break but they never have the rim break. |
