Many times you will see young wimmenz and newbies to the sport of shooting posing in pics but looking scared of the rifle or about to tip over due to their horrendous posture. Jenny helped me to create an example of what I am talking about. Sorry for the quality of the pics.

Note the backwards lean and horrible trigger discipline. Poor recoil control will cause the barrel of the gun to climb in a more pronouced fashion, as Jenny is indicating.

Here is Jenny modeling a more correct posture with the carbine:

In order to insure better recoil control and more consistent accuracy, teach your n00bs to LEAN IN! Note the slight squareness of the shoulders to the target, wide stance, and finger off the trigger.

Once Jenny gets her cheek weld figured out, I think she'll be all set. That is all.

It looks like she has to fart or some shit. Is she cross eye dominant or is she looking into the ejection port? The head's way too far over.

You mount the rifle to your head, not your head to the rifle.

also, the firers head should be canted only slightly. if you have to turn your head on its side you arent doing it right.

simple answer: most guys have handled toy guns damn near since birth--they are used to the weight distribution, and adopt a naturally more athletic stance. far fewer women have handled rifles, so they adopt a very stable foot stance, then throw their hips forward and out of weight line to compensate for the bbl weight.

you'll note that the more athletic and physically confident woman will instinctively take a better stance, even without coaching.

That hurts a little when your firing one chambered in .308.

I never understood the nose to the charging handle thing. I get it close, but not THAT close. The rear sight aperture is too large when you kiss the handle (tad harder to center the front sight, but no biggie I suppose).

I believe the reasoning for putting one's nose to the charging handle is to give a consistant shooting position and sight picture when aiming in on a target (at least that was the reasoning given to me).
