ive been hearing and seeing this claim that the big cable and phone companies want to privatize the internet for their own advantage. essentially creating the ability to control content in whatever way they see fit. (maybe along the same lines as here, where if you dont like the owners rules, you leave) considering how verizon, att, time warner, etc. have handled customer service and run their businesses in the past, i can understand the concern for the internet. however, it would also appear to be capitalism in action, those with the money buying whatever they need and the rest out of luck.( i imagine this would also include a lot of IT and network guys as their jobs will be consolidated and automated as everything is handled in the same way by the providers to maximize profit.)

what do you think? hysteria in action?
