When are you guys going to get a professional to do your web site?  You've gone to a lot of effort in creating content and publicizing it to only exclude many (most?) people from it.  The kid (I assume you guys picked someone's "whiz-kid" 10 year old) is specifying the height of table cells in pixels that contain text.  There is no way to know how large the text will be in pixels on the client.  Different machines have different capabilities and user preferences.  So, if the user chooses larger fonts, your web brat intentionally places the text on top of other elements.  This makes the page impossible to read.
