Quicktime works the best for me. Windows media player stops working after a few times with mpegs.

Yes, I am a wacko...
Media player. Realplayer is a pain (Spyware POS). Media Player has better compression now. Although QuickTime has been good, just hate the nag screen that keeps popping up, so it loses points. |

I've seen head-to-head evals of all of 'em, and WMP tops 'em all; that's also my personal experience as well.

mplayer because it isn't any of the above mentioned, is free and open source and it works under Linux. [:)]
