Well in the case of the Norinco M14 then using a USGI issued magazine would make the mag aftermarket.

I believe the ones you have are USA.I have a few,I recieved in a trade.They seem to work allright.The 308 seems to have the weenies to strip the round and push it into the chamber.

The only non-USGI mags I found to be reliable in my M21 are the Norinco mags. The other after market mags with the stamped tabs on the back instead of the welded tabs sometimes fall out of the gun especially when fully loaded (the mag not me) and rapid firing.

I agree with Buster and would add that the Thermolds are okay too. I have a couple of USA M14 mags that fall out of the gun as well.
As far as quality, I would rate them as so: USGI Norinco Thermold USA |

USA's are good for target shooting only! ( I mean using the mags as the targets)

USA = unreliable junk.
If you want the M14 to work, use USGI mags or chinese copies. The Chinese look exactly like USGI except they are unmarked and lighter grey colored parkerized. |

My USGI's and Chi-Coms work perfectly, my thermolds do but I had to file away part of the bottom of the catch on teh back before they would lock in.

Actually Millett made some 30s that work
I have 2 USAs that work-out of 10 I tried If anyone has USGI SA marked I would like 2 cpermd |
