IIRC A guy started a web site that sought to document when a hit show had run out of steam and started a downard spiral.
The premise was Happy Days had run so long they had run out of ideas and came up with the shark jumping episode.
The original site allowed viewers to submit their own ideas on when other hit shows had their "jump the shark " moments.
