There'd be ZERO antigun senators. With no senators, nothing the pres or Representatives tried to do (anti gun legislation) would have a chance.  In fact, in return for our senator's votes on other laws, we could get ALL gun laws repealed.  60 mill x $100 each is 6 billion dollars.  We start with the biggies, like Kennady, Shumer, etc, and after we prove that we can get their own parties to not nominate them for reelection, the rest will run like the sheep that they are.

$100 a year is 30c a day. I could take 30c out of your pocket every day, and you'd never notice. The first election, 1 3rd of the 36 billion $ total would probably suffice, spend the rest of it getting short range, fast, concealed .22lr matches, women only, become more publicized than women's golf and tennis put-together.  When everyone knows some pretty single woman who is a competitor at such matches, the antigun stuff will go where it belongs. When gals can make a living shooting such matches, teaching such shooting to other women, you can bet that 10x as many men will be doing likewise, using .45's of course.

Unfortunately, most of those 60 million don't give two craps.

You mean 99+%, not just "most". Most means just more than half.

You can't even get them to pay $25 for a NRA membership. That would do more.

It's a great thought but look how many people here won't join the NRA for one reason or another.

80 million gun owners and 4 million NRA members.

Full disclosure: I'm a Life Member.

Too many of that 80 million don't give a shit about the Second Amendment, only see their guns as a "sporting implement" or just something they got when grandpa died.  How many "gun owners" have an old 38 in the sock drawer that they bought 20 years ago and simply forgotten about it.

Nope, there's only a small percentage of people that own guns that have any inkling of the Big Picture, the rest simply don't care or refuse to care.

Well if the arms manufacturers like Colt, DPMS, Rock River Arms, Bushmaster would pool there money together to fight the 1986 MG ban and got it knocked out they could make there money back in a day on Civillian M-16/M-4 and or other MG related sales.

Back then 90%+ of the AR's on the market were Colt.

Ooops poor grammer got me there.

If the manufacturers will pool there money together now and fight the MG ban they could make there money back in MG sales in a day.

If the 86 ban died tomorrow I would convert all of my guns and by a  NIB Bushmaster M-16 and a RRA 9mm M-16.

+1, that's where we need to start.

Agreed-You own a firearm you need to be in GOA or NRA. I am a member of both.

That $25 won't help, that money doesn't go towards lobbying.

You need to send money to the NRA ILA to get the work done.

How do you figure that?  An M16 and an AR15 cost the same for them.  I'd also be willing to bet that if the MG ban were repealed, 90% of us would pay the $200 tax for one or more of the AR's that we already own rather than buy a new one.

Even if the ban was gone you would still have to buy a new bolt and FCG. They could add an extra 15-20% to the price of those parts and earn back a shit ton.

Plus a lot of folks collect and would want a NIB Factory M-16. It would be a frenzy, imagine the rush on parts and guns after the 94 ban died times 10,000.

edite to add

The manufacturers could add $200 to dealer price on all new M-16 and it wouldn't hurt sales.
