Quoted: The Decocker on both the Tokyo Marui Sig Sauer P226R and the KSC H&K USP45/KWA P8 are fully functional. And to the best of my knowledge they field strip just like the real deal too.
If you're looking into airsoft as a pest control device I suggest something spring powered as opposed to the battery operated or gas operated versions. FAR cheaper and simpler to use.
A Tokyo Marui spring pistol will fire a .20 gram bb at about 240 feet per second for about 15 yards on a flat trajectory. Though I have tagged people at more than 100 feet by arching the bb. No gas to buy or battery to charge. Just load the magazine rack the slide for each shot and fire.
Cats run like a bat out of hell when tagged in the ass.

Big +1, and I have all kinds of airsoft. Spring pistols are definitely what you want for bug hunting (
). I have killed a wasp with a Tokyo Marui M4A1 AEG. Took 3 shots, the first one blew off a wing, the second blew off the abdomen and the critter was still trying to move around, then the third one took off it's head. After that, the thing was twitching for a couple of min. Really spooky, bugger sure didn't want to die. I had been popping off cans with the AEG when my brother (10 and allergic to most animals, with severe asthma) told me a wasp was in the house. I didn't want to risk getting stung (being stung by wasps sucks) or having my brother get stung (because we didn't know if he was allergic or not and didn't want to find out). If you're ever using an airsoft long gun at close range against bugs, remember the sight offset
, your shots will go 2 inches low on an AR, same as on the real thing. I have used high powered gas blowback pistols on spiders (firing at 370 feet per second with a .2g BB). If you shoot a spider with it, not much will be left at all (little bits and pieces). Definitely overkill, but kinda fun. Airsoft screws bugs up about the same way cannon balls would screw up a human. ETA: Airsoft also works well as a deterrant against unwanted squirrels and pigeons and the like. If you shoot a bird in the wing, it won't be able to fly for about 30 seconds, if you shoot a squirrel or something and it hits a leg, it will limp for a short period of time. Good for when you actually want to hit critters with something but not kill/injure them.
