There is more to it than just starting a business and incorporating... WHY do you want to incorporate? I first started as a sole prop and then went to becoming incorporated for many financial reasons and protections.

And as far as what state to incorporate in? your own.

Delaware is where more than 50% of the fortune 500 incorp. the reason being we have very business freindly courts. Delaware has a court of chancelory, that is a court that decides cases not only on law but on common practices. The corp. fees pay for 80% of the states operating budget so they are not going to do to many things to piss off corps.
