I'm 25, hit 3 airbags.
5 trucks totalled altogether.
Usually the other person went to hospital in an ambulance.
Never had a wreck that was my fault. Always someone else getting the ticket.

Should I be worried that someone wants me dead or is this average?

I've been involved in 36 car "accidents", not counting on-track incidents, but no airbags (yet). While I will never own a vehicle that has airbags, there was this one time in a rental car in Austria where I thought I was going to test one out.

1

Hit a moose at 65 mph on my way to work one night (3rd shift).

Only saw his lower legs at the last moment, and my last thought before impact was, "My, that's a mighty big deer!"

Fortunately, I walked away from it.

Two fender-bender-type accidents in the 14 years I've been driving.  One was my fault.  I had had my license for about a month when I misjudged a curve and took out a mailbox.  Oops.

Three if you count the time my car got hit in a parking lot when I wasn't in it.

No airbags involved.

You either  need to learn to drive defensively or you have really bad luck.

I'm 27 and 0 for me

Sounds like a couple of you guys need an education in defensive driving.  Just cause you didn't get a ticket doesn't mean that there wasn't something that you could have done.

You can't drive in condition white anymore than you should walk totally clueless.  I mean all of these mean ninja skills that you have won't mean diddly when some dumbass slams into your drivers door cause you didn't notice that he was about to pull out.

Pistols, fire extinguishers, seatbelts and airbags are all valuable tools but they won't save your ass if you don't pay attention.

Good!  I don't think you should use seatbelts either!  Don't let the man tell you what to do!

Half of one.  I'm tall, so My forehead still cracked the windshield, even with my seatbelt and an airbag.

You should try to get an endorsement deal from the OEM.

You should list your "kills" on your driver's door like a fighter ace

One, back in 1992.
A lady in a huge Bronco pulled out in front of my Toyota.
I was going about 50.

The airbag blew both arms off the wheel and shot my watch out the driver's window.
Both wrists were badly bruised and I'm lucky they didn't break.
The bag left scars on my chest and neck that have slowly faded over 14 years.

I was otherwise OK, but put on a backboard and carted off, just in case.

Actually, my speed was down to around 25 after I locked up the brakes.
All of the damage was done exclusively by the airbag.  The front of my Toyota was hell, but it was repairable.

I'm not knocking airbags, but the early generation airbags were powerful.

You might be a redneck if you refer to your wife and mother-in-law as "Dual Airbags".

Seriously, never been involved in a wreck if you don't count that incident on the construction site.  I was young(er) then, only had my license a month and I was driving a big F-350 with 12' stake-bed.  Not too bright.  The poor Chevy 1500 behind me didn't have a chance.  Lots of damage to the passenger side.  Fortunately my employer's insurance covered that one.  Got me canned, but I didn't have to pay.  MJD

Been driving since I was 15 (20 years or so) 1 bad accident --single car (mine) fell asleep at the wheel. other than that had a minor fender bender when I was still in HS and in the back seat of a honda that got nailed from the side by a full size car (dosent count agianst me --none of us saw the drunk comming at 5000mph) other than that driving is like shooting recognize a bad situation and back off or slow down -- whatever to change it, keep it from getting worse.
I was fortunate when I wrecked the Cherokee -walked away without a scratch a few seconds either way and I would have involved another car or wrecked in a worse spot.  I would worry that 5 incidents on my record in such a short timeframe (your fault or not ) would affect your insurance rates or influence an employer to not let you operate a fleet vehicle or even maybe rent a car if you travel without paying a premium.  You may want to consider a defensive driving course or something of that nature.
You have not been dropped or denied insurance --or even had your rates upped?

I've experienced one airbag deployment.  My ex-wife was driving at the time.  The other car ran a red light.

ETA:  I'm 42.  When I was 25, they didn't have airbags.

23, I've hit one.

A thin, 10-minute-old layer of snow on the road on a descending turn.  Took the turn slower than the speed limit but still slid into the other lane and crashed corner-to-corner with another car, spinning sideways and knocking the other car down an embankment.  No one seriously hurt, but I broke my hand (on the airbag).

Just ONE airbag deployment in my face for me thanks.

It was just about all the fun I could handle

It sounded like both barrels of a double barrel 12 ga. (both front bags) lighting off simultaniously

and   STINK  !!!!!!!!!!!

scared the piss out of me basically

0 airbags.  been in 1 accident, but someone rear-ended me so the airbag didn't go off.

i did almost get into an accident at high speed which almost certainly would have resulted in the death of myself, and likely another innocent person.  and would have been all my fault.  seriously guys, drive safe out there.
