I have got to believe that there is some restriction like that in there. Otherwise, every tom, dick, and harry would be in their garage cobbling up "bottle openers" etc.

I'd support it.  Even though I'm not a vet and no one in my family is.
If you can pass the BG check to posses it, go ahead.  Maybe all of America's vets can somehow increase the total number of MG's available for private transfers, assuming the bill proposed would allow that.

Hmm...does this only apply to veterans that served in Iraq or other combat zone recently, or does it apply to all veterans?  I never fought, but because I served during a war, I'm considered a veteran.

time to apply the 14th ammendment on this if it gets passed and see if we can double the # of registered transferables over night.

My grandfather was in Korea. I'm sure he brought back a crate of M2 carbines and 1919s.

Are you sure that he did not just have tremendous forsight, and created the DIAS before the M16 was even a mechanical drawing?
