It looks like it ran over a landmine.
Better disinfect those seats... |
my thought was moreso "my dads got a cool set of tools, we can fix anything" |
I bet the dad is thinking. "Of all the cars out there for you to hit, you hit a 2004\2005 Corvette!" |
Well that is a show case that GM can make a safe car. I Wonder how the little princess would have faired in a Camery.
ay pix of her at all? |
Toyota vehicles have an excellent safety record. They have these things called "standards" that every company has to meet before their vehicle can be sold in the U.S. Must I bring up, once again, that the vast majority of "Japanese" vehicles are built here in the U.S. by AMERICANS? |

www.glock19.com,
glad to hear everyone's okay... and that'll BUFF RIGHT OUT! |
That Corvette is a sad sight, at least it did it's job and protected the occupants.
Any wreck you walk away from is a good one. |
Oww. That makes me a littel sick. Incredable no one was hurt. sp
Exactamundo. On all points. |

Good for one of these:www.factoryfive.com/table/ffrkits/GTM/partsneed.html |
That'll be a nice drivetrain to install in a "non-ghey" car. |
Is that an automatic transmission I spy in the Corvette????
Glad everyone walked away....your buddy should make sure that girl has her license taken away. |
yeah, what's up with that? glad to hear everyone walked away, though. |
I'm glad no one got hurt in that wreck.
That car will end up being auctioned and resold after being fixed.. |
don't drag race much huh? |
What's he got for an exhaust in that and how much does he want?
I guess they are going to burn a few burnt offerings to the Gods of Air Bags when they get home.
LOL he just put a n ew on on and is scrambleing to find the old one as the insurance comapny will not let him take anything aftermarket off the car with out the stock replacement |
This way they will get more at auction for it. |

I do know that many of the cars made by toyota and other are made here. As a Paramedic I have the luxury of seeing crunched cars a lot. My point was in light of GM problems they can make a safe car as they both walked away. My choice of Camery was based on personal obsevations. Yes there are "standards" but they are minimums. I could have said how many Dodge trucks have you seen that lose the real axle in a side impact. Or how about the Chevy trucks that can't be driven after a 15 mph front crash because the nose folds down on the front wheels. Or the Ford trucks (F150 prior to new body style) that take a rear impact at about 20 mph that you can't open the doors on because the body is bend from front to back. The Camery was due to the location of the "B" pillar the driver in a roll over can strike their head on it and suffer injuries. The advertised saftey ratings are for front, side, and rear impacts. This involved a rollover wreck which changes everything. I was not bashing TOYOTA. They make a fine product they have good points and bad, just as all vehicles do. You wish to flame on me go right ahead, I just ask that before you do, I ask how many wrecks have you had to evaluate for kenetics, points of impact, crush areas, intrusions into the passenger space. But do this with out factoring in past experiance of same model proformance. |

I have a stock C5 exhaust just waiting to ship. IM me and get me in touch with him. What exhaust does it have? |
you started it. Why must every post end up in a shit fest? if you wanted to pay homage to gm's great B pilars then why didnt you say that? |
You should be counting your blessings. That looked like some scary shit......... You guys were very lucky.
Then not a ZO6. |
Is that where the passenger's front wheel landed, or was it piled there for the ride to the junkyard?
Damn. I didn't think a 'vette was that substantial. I'm impressed. |
Two accident victims safely walk away. Good
Two GM vehicles take a dirt nap...................... PRICELESS |
Well, yeah. They sure as hell didn't DRIVE away! LIMPED, maybe.... CJ |
I am very happy everyone walked away safe, but dude, my brain hurts after reading this..."sentence."
How about... "The other car was being driven by a 17 year-old girl when it spun out and went into his lane striking head-on and flipping a few times after the impact. Luckily everyone walked away unharmed. The girl was doing 80 in a 50 mph zone." Seriously though, I am glad all are ok. That is one hell of an impact. |
but seriously I was rushed to a hospital in one once. I give the Grand Am more credit than others do. |
Glad that everyone is alright. It really blows that they let teenage girls drive though.
You've put way too much effort into that and lost the tone of the original post. How about: The other car was being driven by a 17yr old girl doing 80 in a 50 mph zone. She spun out, went into his lane, struck him head-on, then flipped a few times after the impact. Everyone walked away. |

If that's a Z06 it's not an automatic. I believe the Z06 was only available in white in 01 and while that car is a fixed roof coupe, which all Z06s are, I don't see the screens on the front air inlets. Definitely Z wheels and tires.
Damn- hope the girl had high enough property Damage limits. If she had insurance at all.
More likely- your friend has uninsured motorist. |
