Tiny it is the Norinco CQ-311, but It is banned from US importation. They sell them in Kanada, though.

Norinco making an AR, WTF.  They can't make AKs so why would anyone want or give a shit about one.  No offense dude, but Norinco making an AR is just NOT RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These are shit weapons! Cheap inferior COPIES! Crap! I would not give Norinco the steam off my shit to boil an egg!

Seen only pics, and read up on them. I would not buy one of these, even if I was allowed to, here in Australia.

The ChiComs deserve nothing (including the Olympics), but two sun rises one morning!

By USA made or western made products only, so our kids will have jobs, not theirs.

WTF are they using?

Skinny A1 barrels leftover from some war?

And what's up with that hooded front site?

Where was the outcry when they marketed the Polytech M14?

I see they didn't get the injection molding down yet.

Those handguards look horrible!

That weapon looks horrible!

First the M14, then the UZI, now this!

What's neXt?  HK clones?

I kinda like the looks of the pistol grip. It looks similar in shape to that of the Colt AM2000. Looks quite weird, but real comfortable to hold.

The rest of the rifle I wouldn't touch. 'cept long enough to steal the pistol grip. [:D] Which probably wouldn't fit anyway. [B)]

I've heard some of the cheap gunshow parts are chinese.
The Norinco 1911's are pretty good quality. The 11 year old chi-com slave laborers do good work.

If it is like their 1911's, then it is probably better than an out of the box Colt!

That pistol grip did look awkwardly familiar.

How did that funny Colt shoot anyways?

I never saw it for rent and knew of no one that owned one.

Does this mean Norinco makes 20 rounders for AR15's now?

Can I put a National Match trigger in there?

Les Bauer, Wilson look out!

I love my Norinco 1911 copy. I am a poor shot with a handgun, however, I grouped quite nicely right out of the box with my Norinco. Additionally, my gunsmith checked the Norinco's ability to take generic 1911 parts and everything he checked fit just fine. (some other 1911 copies out there aren't so lucky).

I would try the Norinco AR-15 copy if it were available here...

I read an article somewhere where they evaluated all of the AK variants, and the Norinco Mak-90 came out as the best of the bunch.  Don't be so quick to dismiss this rifle as a low quality firearm, unless you've personally utilized one.

Let me post this Colt here so we can compare.

I live in Canada and I have yet to see a norinco model, but unless its 400$ for the whole gun I wouldnt go near it.

It might look like a piece of crap but you can bet that some fillipino rebel is putting one to good use right now.

Ulysse- I never shot the pistol. A local shop got one of the aluminum framed models when they came out. And I fondled it several times. The plastic framed models feel the same but just aren't as pretty. It was a good comfortable grip.

I don't think I could live with that grip.

While it looks weird it is very comfortable.

Colt did an ergonomic study while designing the gun. If you see one at a gunshow, pick it up. It  will amaze you. I have been seeing a few lately.

I think the gun suffered accuracy problems and that is mostly why it failed.

The very idea is, well, unAmerican.
So USA mags could be better than someone, now, I guess.
