And you're posting on the Internet. You need to call the courthouse ASAP.
You're in contempt of court mister! If it held the trial over, then you cost the system some bucks so you better hope it's not a Roy Bean type of judge lol.

I'll hide you in Wakulla, but you must surrender your guns to me.
Edit: Try 577-4000, that's the clerk of court. Be polite and explain, NOW!

I missed Jury Duty once. I was (and am) in college, and had other things on my mind. I forgot to set my alarm and overslept. I ran to the courthouse, and was fortunate to find that the trial was canceled.

Were you actually supposed to be serving on a jury or was it for jury selection?
I've got a summons before, completely forgot about it and nothing happened. However, if you have been selected for a specific case, and skipped out, there could be hell.

Call the court clerk and explain that you forgot. The same thing happened to my wife a few months ago and they just rescheduled for the next week. They told her that happens frequently.

Might want to call the courthouse so that they know what happened. Better they hear it from you now, then from you in jail after they put a warrent out for your forgetful behind.

I ran out of gas. I, I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts. IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD.

Tell them you had explosive diahrrea(sp?) and you were on the toilet all day long. They can come and see the splatter stains on your toilet for proof.

Shoot yourself in the leg. Use something that won't cause a lot of damage. Like a 9mm.
If you use a Glock they'll understand even quicker.

Lots of people don't show up and nothing happens. Calling the courthouse will just guarantee you'll be fined for it probably. Being a student will get you out of it here.
I remember locally a while back the news made a big deal about the police actually enforcing them for one whole day. "Oooh you better not skip or the police will crackdown" Yeah one day out of 5000 isn't convincing.
Now I'm not advocating skipping out but what's done is done.

should be no big deal as long as you contact them. typlically you get assigned to a pool, someone filled your slot if you even got called. most likely they will just reschedule you for another jury pool.
Whatever you do CALL THEM ASAP>
