¥ This is not an official dinner pic! ¥

Supermarket Sushi.  Not as good as made by a skillful chef, but I like it anyway.

I've eaten sushi from Publix (grocery store) on two occasions and it was pretty decent. Not as good as fresh, but not bad.

That tuna looks pretty good for supermarket Sushi.

The california roll that SAM'S sells is pretty good.  It's sweet with lots of sesame taste.

The stuff at Target I can't stand.  Sushi is seasoned rice and Target's rice has no seasoning!

The cali roll here is good,  Krogers has two japanese guys come in 5 days a week to make it. It's a HUGE seller.

California rolls suck.

I guess if I was sure it was fresh.  I've had the real stuff in Japan and the supermarket stuff I've had was never up to snuff.

I have had it from some of the local sushi joints and it was good.

No, I didn't have a rough childhood.  Had a Japanese neighbor who would fix all traditional sashami, nigir and sushi I wanted along with all different kinds of REAL Japanese food.  I helped her with the lawn, her business and even shoveled snow for her.  In return, I was fed like a Japanese prince, at least I thought.

Her husband was a WWII vet, Navy.  He was paralyzed from a stroke so she relied on help from the neighbors.
