Sh*t! Now the .gov is trying to impede the porn industry and it's purveyors. What's next? Computer chips under the skin? Mark of the Beast tatooed on our foreheads?!

Well, the internet just lost about 80% of it's usefulness.

I googled for pr0n just now - it still works.

Refrain from kiddie porn and I'll bet you'll be OK as well.

ugh, the subpoena wasn't about kiddie porn.

it was about kids LOOKING for porn.

Something the feds could never tell from what they said they wanted.

So it's a fishing expedition to see what they can get.

Children aren't sexual objects, plain and simple. On the other hand, a consenting woman who want's to display her "wares" in public for my entertainment, is mighty appealing!

Why would I use Google to find porn?  The good stuff's not on the web at all.  I love how the government thinks the WWW comprises the entire Internet.

Bittorrent is the way to go for good porn.

Anything with violence, or simulated violence...

Google told the Feds to take a hike.  The public reason for the refusal was over privacy concerns.

My buddy works at Google, and stated there was more to the issue.  Google was asked to use company resources and engineers to perform the investigation.

Google did not feel inclined to give the Feds a free ride.

this could all be an excuse just to look at what people are searching for...

I remember hearing about this guy who ran an ISP, and one of his client's accounts was used to recieve keylogging info from a worm that the client had created. The ISP guy noticed this huge amount of bandwidth usuage and was  subpoenaed by the FBI so they could look at the Gigabytes of info that he recieved. I think the ISP guy ended up making a database of all the crap he collected.

Just some food for thought...
