CNN veteran jumps to Fox

Rudi Bakhtiar, a longtime CNN staffer who once held prominent roles as an anchor on CNN Headline News, has joined rival cable network Fox News Channel.

On Wednesday, Fox said Bakhtiar will be a general correspondent.

"Rudi's experience anchoring and reporting from around the world make her a great asset to Fox," said Fox's senior vice president of programming, Bill Shine.

Fox has hired a handful of people with CNN connections in recent months, including anchor Bill Hemmer and political commentator Robert Novak.

Atlanta-based CNN is a unit of Time Warner.

Hmmm, so I recalled correctly that Novak writes extreme-left commentary in the extreme-left Chicago Sun Times? I think I saw something last week from him about the Democrat Party House leadership crisis (IE they all want to sack Pelosi).

Yeah, that would be the Robert Novak they hired. He's the one who wrote the column that outed the undervocer female CIA operative a few years back. Not that he was the only one at fault there, but I would have liked to see him excercise a little more caution with such weighty information.

I'm sure Fox is just trying to add weight to their claim of being fair and objective, and what better way to do that than to hire some asshat like Novak?
