Worst I would say his border policy. Best would be his leadership on 9/11 ...Whats his deal with the border? Hes #1 on fighting terrorism and guarding our country but he wont do anything about it on the border? Does he not think its a threat? |
I'd say dodging the courts for his BS wiretaps were the worst, his best invading Iraq.
They were not BS WIre Taps.
I think he handled that very well. He had all the right in the world to do what he did. worst is Boarder Patrol Best..... hmm His Confidence and Persistence in Iraq |
Hasn't done shit with the border.
Letting the AWB die without urging any renewal was good. Post 9/11 terrorism fighting has been very effective. Not a good job with going to Iraq, but a very good job promising to continue and finish the fight. |
Until he faces our border problem I don't give him a pass on anything else!
I think he handles the press well and stands strong when stuff doesnt go his way. Weather you agree with him or not he always is confident when he speaks |
After we take Iraq, Iran is next on the list. WTF have we spent all this money on neutron bombs for? |
Invading Iraq was not only his stupidest.....It's in the top ten stupidest in all of history. WMD........bwhahahahahaha. His poor command of the english language is a close second. His trying to browbeat the American public into agreeing with him is a close third. I don't like liberals but I like a conservative who has proven himself brainless even less. People who follow G Bush=less than sheeple cuz they can't even tell the difference tho they think they can.
Whoa. Peak, you are REALLY turning a new leaf aren't you? |

Worst one would be calling the constitution a "piece of goddamned paper" when he was told the US patriot act does infringe upon it.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=137&t=417358
But remember, Soviet-esque surveilance helps find terrorists! do it |
Illegal wiretaps will hopefully be his downfall.
NAFTA is pretty insulting. Lack of a sensible plan for Iraq is pretty bad. Questionable tactic in Afghanistan supposedly allowing Bin Laden to escape from Tora Bora is a big slap in the face to us armchair commanders. I cant really think of anything I will remember him for as being positive. |
Wow. What brilliant logic. |
I've never changed my position. It's a war for oil, go get it boys. It's easier to drill through glass than it is to impose democracy on an unwilling population. |

Grand prize ; His Mexican border policy
Honorable Mention ; Harriet Meirs for SCOTUS Biggest failure to date; Not invading Canada and ending it once and for all |
Campaing Finance Reform
Dealing with Mexico 100% better than Gore or sKerry |
Good:
-Generally supportive of gun owners. -Rallying Americans after the 9-11 attacks. -Serious about the WOT and taking the fight over there. -Great job with Libya and Afghanistan. -Good job taking and rebuilding Iraq. -Nominating judicial conservatives to judgeships. -Rolling back rediculous Clinton-eta environmental regulations and other business restrictions. Bad: -Dealings with Mexico, especially border security. -Signing McCain-Feingold. -Spending WAY too much money. I know there is a war on, but they should have cut out all the stupid pork to pay for it. He has no sense of fiscal responsibility. -Going into Iraq too hastily. Even before we found out the WMD intel was bad, I kept thinking, "Aren't we rushing this a little?" I wanted hussein gone too, but our whole purpose for going in was nothing but a house of cards. -Restrictions on stem cells. -Occasionally treating the American people like idiots. "The terrorists attacked us on 9-11 because they hate our freedoms" is an insulting oversimplification. |

Wow! No one mentioned tax cuts. (the largest in US history)
While the war on terror is my pick for best, the tax cuts were instrumental in keeping the economy rolling along after a disaster beyond imagination, one that could have killed the already sluggish economy. And remember, that was really Bin Laden's goal. (I assume) They did attack the financial capital of the country, if not the world. |
I hope before the end of his term in office that he gets the son-of-a-bitch Bin Laden like he said he would.
Best decision: Pay off the people who voted for him with tax refunds.
Worst decision: Not killing Democrats. |
There was a Marine Colonel on the radio yesterday taking questions.
He is a reservist, serving in Iraq, training Iraqi forces to take over when we leave. He said some incredible things: Primarily, "We thought the war was going pretty good while we were over there, until we came home and saw the news" They have Sunnis, Kurds, and Shiites and some other lesser minority group within the ranks of the forces. They get along just fine. He said they watch carefully for issues and none come up. The biggest fear of Iraqi's is that we will leave too soon. Iraqi's are just starting to understand that they can speak without being murdered for it. That is one reason things are taking so long. Iraqi's all have satellite dishes, and see the news from Europe, and CNN. This is one reason why they worry about us leaving too soon. The Police forces he is working with will be ready to take over in about 2 years. He is stationed near the Iraqi border. They patrol that area heavily. They are trying very hard to stop insurgents from crossing. There are 10 foot berms on the border, all the way around the country. There is another berm on the other side (Syria) with about 1000-1500 meters inbetween of no-mans land. |

Is that sarcasm? As opposed to how Dem's pay off their voters - by giving them more of yours and my money in the form of welfare and other social engineering plans. |
Sarcasm? Well, knowing me, probably. Republicans are the people with jobs, so they are eligible for tax cuts, tax refunds. Democrats are the people on welfare, so they just take money from government. I guess calling it a "pay-off" is kind of inflammatory, huh? But, as I recall, the dems screamed so much that scum-sucking welfare types got free money out of the deal. |

Notice my state. I'm sure you can guess my grievance. |
Best: Invading Iraq.
Worst: The reasons he gave for invading Iraq. |
The reasons as I understand them: 1) Weapons of mass destruction, Saddam clearly showed that he, at one time had them and used them on his own people and Iran. Based on a cease fire agreement following a war that he lost, he was to comply with weapons inpsectors. For years he gave them the run around, kicked them out at one point and did everything he could to decieve them. The real question is why weren't there any weapons, but where did the weapons go. (You do know that they found several artillary pieces with sarin gas and barrels of radioactive substances right?) 2)Saddam was engaged as a state sponser for terrorists. Saddam contributed money to pay for palestinian homicide bombers. They found terrorist camps in the north with one of the camps having a jet to practice hijackings. 3)Saddam contributed to the instability of the region. Jordon, Turkey, Saudia Arabia, Israel and Lebanon all benifited from the invasion and reconstruction 4)Saddam was a malicious madman who was an agregious violator of human rights. Rape rooms, mass graves and torture were routine. I think that covers the reasons that Bush gave and he was spot on. The liberal media fails to report the truth. |

Inviting the Kennedy's to the white house for the viewing of a movie about JFK!
So why can't we have our military on our border trying very hard to stop illegal scum from crossing. We built a wall around Iraq but people keep saying it is not possible and we shouldn't even try. I'd love to see a 50 reinforced concrete blockade stayle wall with barbed/ razor wire, tangle foot, guard posts, machine gun posts, claymore mines, sniper posts, roving patrols, quick reationary force, (edit to add) indirect fire support to cover dead ground, close air support, and 24x7 remote controlled armed recon drones, but I'd settle for a 10' tall berm. |

Bush said he would sign the AWB if it came to his desk, So i dont understand the cheering there.
I think he fuxed up by not looking at the big picture.Way more PROVABLE Threats out there. I dont have to say much about his boarder policy becuase he has none. Tax cuts? for who ? people who gross over a million dollars? Gas prices. Osama bin Forgotten? Wheres his leadership with catching that bastard? Miers - This was an all time bush classic Your doin a hell of a job Brownie. loved that one. 27% of his presidency on vacation. his love for the english language. Other than that, i wouldnt mind havin a cold one with the ole shit-kicker him self |
I guess the 'hero rifle' for GWB winning re-election never got off the ground.
I'll echo that |
Oh God, I forgot about that. Maybe it was a part of his secret plan to send medicare down in a flaming fireball, because that's what's going to happen. Either that, or 80% of the national budget will be spent buying Viagra for Gramps. |
DU is that way..... |
Those were both bad, but Campaign Finance Reform tops both. |
What makes you think that Bush will ever do illegal wiretaps? |
Bush is a disappontment that is the kindest thing that can be said.
Ooh, good arguement. Backed up with fact and cross-referenced, too! |
Yup, those are my two. And that is what I always wonder. |
Best:
Good leadership after 9/11... Worst: His decisions to open his mouth without a script to read (This happens very often)... Example His decisions to think for himself without having someone to back him up... (This never EVER turns out well) Example - Harriet Myers Nomination |
With this kind of policy, which country should we invade next? If you're using this as your logic, the list would be very long! I agree with that but, don't you think it makes America looks bad when we change our reasons for invading that country instead standing by what we originally said? With this logic, all you need to do is pick a country in the Middle East and you will meet the same criteria. There seems to be a double standard when we wage war on one country yet, we continue to let the others sponsor terrorism. Explain how America as a country is benefiting? Sadly, I think what Saddam did was the only way to keep these people in line... These people aren't ready for a Democracy yet and no matter how many purple fingers you see, it will only last as long as we are there. As soon as we pull out, it will be back to normal again. With the opposition we are facing at home from our own people and government, it doesn't look like we can keep it up forever... With this logic, maybe we should wage war on China and every other communist country! I agree that the media does not want to report anything that doesn't stir up some kind of resentment and conflict. That is the marketing concept they use... Please do not take offense to my post and understand that I am stating everything in a respectful manner... |

And he is ignoring them? Not hardly. But taking down North Korea isn't an option. Nor Iran, anytime soon. Why do you think there can only be one response to any given problem?
For everyone that pays taxes, monkeyboy. Stop parroting what you heard on Air America yesterday.
Yay! Another retard who seems to think the .gov should set/influence freemarket prices!
What the hell is he supposed to do about it? How many years did it take to catch Eric Rudolph? And he was in CONUS. Don't be such a leftist toolbag; there is only so much one can do when trying to find a cave-dweller in Central Asia.
When he is is in Crawford, he is still working. |

Agreed. While I'm peeved over this, the reality is that the AWB went away anyway.
What's a "PROVABLE" threat?
Agreed.
Where'd you hear that? The DNC? The media? Last I checked I'm not a millionaire and yet I received the benefits of those tax cuts because I'm a small business owner. Small business owners are the engine that drives this economy.
What's he supposed to do? Every time he tries to help increase supply the lefties scream bloody murder! And don't say "he could reduce demand" because that's impossible with an expanding economy.
I guess we should carpet-bomb the whole middle east, then, right? We're bound to hit something, right?
Agreed.
Another DNC-supplied statistic? You don't think he's working while in Texas?
It's atleast as good as your command for grammar, punctuation, and usage. |

Quoted:
Bush said he would sign the AWB if it came to his desk, So i dont understand the cheering there. He was playing politics. No matter what kind of politician you are, sometimes you have to do that. I think he fuxed up by not looking at the big picture.Way more PROVABLE Threats out there. Hmm, he didn't look at the big picture, and yet we have not had one attack, large or small, on US soil since 9/11. Sounds like he did the right thing to me. I dont have to say much about his boarder policy becuase he has none. I feel like I need to take a shower. I agree. Tax cuts? for who ? people who gross over a million dollars? Yeah, it's not fair for people who make less money to get less back! Instead of having it based on percentages, we should give EVERYONE the same dollar amount back! If you make $10,000,000 and pay $200,000 in taxes, you should get $10,000 back. If you make $50,000 and pay $10,000 in taxes, you should also get $10,000 back. Oh, oh, and do you know what the worst thing is? The lowest wage bracket got NO tax cut! Isn't that awful? I mean, just because they don't pay a penny in taxes doesn't mean they shouldn't get a cut! Gas prices. Oh yeah, Bush's secret dealings with big oil, telling them to raise prices. Yeah, that's right. Sorry, dude, the president cannot control prices. Osama bin Forgotten? Wheres his leadership with catching that bastard? In a perfect world he would be caught. However, this is not a perfect world, and he managed to escape. We have, however, castrated him. As long as we keep the pressure up, on our enemy, he is not a danger. Miers - This was an all time bush classic I still think he was playing politics there. Either way, big freakin' deal, she didn't get through, so what are you complaining about. 27% of his presidency on vacation. A presidential vacation is completely different than a regular vacation. Have you ever gone on a vacation where you still have all the responsibilities you did before you left? his love for the english language. Yeah, he's not the best speaker in the world, and sometimes he makes pronounciation mistakes. Does that affect anything? Does it keep him from doing his job? No, so who freakin' cares. |

Yet another brainwashed liberal who "thinks" for himself..or least what the liberal/socialist leaders tell him. You will not last long here, trust me. |
